Modern Foreign Languages is taught in KS2 classes.

The children will gain vital experience and understanding in the Spanish language. Using a wide range of resources including role play, poetry, songs, art and written texts, learners will be able to progress their skills through a range of topics.

Children in Year 3 and 4 will develop their understanding of simple vocabulary and short Spanish phrases using verbal and written activities. Topics will include Animals, Food, Travel, Sport and Storytelling. Year 5 and 6 will progress further by using their speaking, listening and writing skills to create and understand longer Spanish sentences and paragraphs.

Topics will include themes around School, Eating Out, Visiting Attractions and the Seasons.
